Why Latino New Urbanism? Consider the following;

• 1 in 5 new home-purchasers in California are Latino.

• By 2030, the Latino population in California will double to 22 million.

• The average age of Latinos is 25.

• Latinos will account for 54% of the demand for housing in California.

Latino New Urbanism offers a culturally relevant model for accommodating growth, incorporating extensive use of public spaces, increased walkability, compact development, and greater access to public transportation.
